Vietnam Hotels >> Hotels in Ha Long Bay :> Bhaya Cruises 1/Hotel Overview Launched in July 2007, the 37.2 meter long Bhaya Cruises is a new traditional wooden vessel in Halong Bay. It has 20 luxurious cabins ranging into Deluxe, Bhaya Suites and Royal Suites. Lower deck comprises of seven Deluxe cabins and two Bhaya Suites. Seven other Deluxe cabins and two Royal Suites are on upper deck. Beauty Spa and Massage Area are on upper deck as well. All cabins offer good views of the bay with big windows. The cabins are nice decorated and well-appointed with dark wood furniture, walling fan, silk bedding, and white ceiling. Roses on the bed and a welcome message from the young French manager on the table are impressive when we checked in the cabin on our inspection in December 2007. Bathrooms are with wooden floor, black granite basin and glass-stall shower. Deluxe and Bhaya Suite cabins are quite similar. But Royal Suites are really worth upgrading. They're both located in the forward section of the upper deck, offering panoramic 180° ocean views. Each Royal Suite is at 16.50m2 with a plush sofa and an access to a private viewing area on the upper deck. Bathroom is larger with bathtub. Dinning room is large with rattan chairs, high quality furniture, indirect light system and large doors opening to dinning-out areas on both sides of the boat. Bhaya serves a large array of Vietnamese and international cuisines. Buffet lunch and dinner are served if there are over 10 people on boat. Set menu is for under ten people. After dinner, all of the lights will be turned off and the dinning room becomes a small cinema where you can see a wide range of films. We really enjoyed "The Quiet American" when we were there. Adjoining the dining room, Bhaya’s bar is perfect for a relaxing aperitif. The bar serves an extensive selection of lagers, liquors, exotic cocktails and light snacks. With comfortable lounge chairs, fresh ocean breezes and dazzling views, the Sundeck is the perfect place to lie back and relax. The Topside Bar is a delightful place to socialize and watch the Sun dip behind the myriad islands of Halong Bay. Bhay Cruises offers the two day, one night and the three day, two night trips. Both of them come with a price tag, but it is worth considering.
