Vietnam Hotels >> Hotels in Ha Long Bay :> Indochina Sails 1/Hotel Overview Launched in April 2007, Indochina Sails is a traditional wooden vessel in Ha Long Bay. The junk is at 40m long and 8,5m wide with mordern and boutique design. It comprises of three floors with 15 cabins, 1 restaurant and 2 bars (one inside the restaurant and one on the sundeck). The restaurant situated on the second floor is spacious with high quality wood furniture, large windows offering breathtaking views of the bay. The bar inside the restaurant offers a good selection of wines, cocktails and soft drinks. Drinks are expensive but well worth it in a romantic dinner between lapping waves and twinkling water. It must be more wonderful in the full-moon summer night! The cabins are spacious and comfortable with dark wood furniture. All have large window with bamboo lattice. The cabin are full equipped with air-conditioning, minibar, in-room safe, in-room telephone, built in cabinets, indirect lights, and table lamb. Twin/double beds are firm and comfy with good linen sheet and feather silk pillows. We're really impressive with roses on the beds and lily on the table! Bathrooms are our big surprise. They're really large with floor-to-ceiling granite, black marble countertop, and glass-standing shower with hot water. Toiletries are small and lovely. There is a rose on the counter in the bathroom as well. Indochina Sails offers a 2 day, 1 night and 3 day, 2 night cruises with various activities. On the first day, after lunch aboard, the cruise will stop at the Titop Island for customers to do swimming or relaxing. You can also stretch your legs with a short trek to the top of the mountain. Sea kayaking is also offered with extra charge in the afternoon. If you're not happy to pay for kayak, you can get free tender to visit floating village. After dinner, you can take the tender to visit a squid fishing boat (with extra charge, certainly) while other customers relax in their own table watching movies. There are several films for your choice including the Quiet American, the scent of Green Papaya. The second day starts with Tai Chi classes on the sun deck as a brilliant sunrise paints its colors on the arching canvas of high limestone peaks jutting from the glassy waters. After breakfast, customers who take the 3 day, 2 night cruise will be transferred to another area for a full day of sea kayaking. And customers who take the 2 day, 1 night cruise will visit Surprising Cave (Sung Sot Cave), and then cruise back to the harbour. A cruise on Indochina Sails comes with a price tag, the high quality of the boat and the service on boat are quite sincere.
