Buitl in 2004, the 13-storey Holiday View hotel is located on the main seafront road, north end of the Cat Ba Island.

The Holiday View offers 120 guest rooms. Standard rooms are comparatively small and basic. All are with the breathtaking views of Ha Long Bay except some at the rear of the building offering the mountain views only. Room décor and furnishings are bland but everything is clean and not musty. Bathrooms have granite counters with showers nozzles that open to the toilet and sink area. Deluxe rooms are larger and have bathtubs.

The hotel has two restaurnats and open-air terrace caffe. The Red Sail offers a wide range of intenational dishes. The Panorama serves different choices of traditionall Vietnamese cuisines with a wide array of fresh seafood. The Rendez-vous caffe features pastries and snacks, as well as cocktails and cold drinks.
